Baked Marinated Tofu

Ingredients:

1 tbsp garlic powder

2 tbsp soy sauce, low sodium

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp miso paste (optional)

1 cup water

½ of a 14-oz package (or more if needed) extra firm tofu, cut in ¼ inch-thick slices

Optional:

  • pinch of cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1 tsp thyme

  • If you don’t have thyme or oregano, use 2 tsp Mrs. Dash Italian seasonings

  • Layer of sliced tomatoes on top

Directions:

Mix all marinade ingredients together.

Place parchment paper in a baking pan and place tofu slices flat on the parchment, side by side. Pour marinade over the tofu. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until the liquid mostly evaporates and marinade thickens on the tofu.

Allow to cool and serve with any dish or salad for a delicious meal!
